Caregiver Essentials

This seminar is directed to the person(s) in a position of caring for another, either in their home or your own. When illness, dementia or advanced age prevents a person from caring for themselves, a second party must frequently step in to assist.

The untrained caregiver is often at a loss of how to deal with medications, hygiene issues, physical assistance in mobility and daily tasks such as dressing and bathing.

This seminar will present information on how to cope with these issues, behavioral difficulties, where to go for assistance and when the wisest course may be placement in another setting.

These topics can be emotionally charged and we will try to allow for open discussion of the frustration, fatigue, guilt, and sometimes anger, that can be experienced by the caregiver.
